The Programs Administrator will be instrumental in the continued development and implementation of a new Inpatient Attachment Rota and Inpatient Doctor of the Week (iDoW) Program. When patients who live in Prince George and have no Family Physician are admitted to the University Hospital of Northern BC, the Programs Administrator will work with the Family Medicine Teaching Unit's* Medical Lead and iDoW to assign inpatients to the Inpatient Attachment Rota. The Rota consists of Family Physicians practicing in Prince George.

Key responsibilities:
- Work collectively and collaboratively with the iDoW and Medical Lead for the success of the Program.
- Build positive relationships with individual physicians on the Inpatient Attachment Rota.
- Manage Inpatient Attachment Rota.
- Develop and implement a system for managing the billings for inpatient attachment.
- Perform data collection on Inpatient Attachment Rota.
- Liaise with the Interprofessional Primary Care Team.
- Assist in providing discharge summaries/old chart transfers to Inpatient Attachment Physicians.
- Pro-actively identify barriers to the Program, gather and provide needed information and, identify possible solutions.
- Participate in strategic planning and implementation of the Program.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of data collection, quality improvement and evaluation initiatives.
- Once the Sustainable Inpatient Care Program is established, provide administrative support for other programs that interface directly with physicians e.g. scheduling, arranging locum coverage

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Five (5) years prior administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, requiring a high degree of confidentiality
- Exceptional judgement and discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrated relationship building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision

Compensation for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
